Umdloti Beach is very popular for it's large natural tidal pool on Umdloti's main beach. The tidal pool provides shelter from on-shore currents, boasts the opportunity for great snorkeling activities and safe bathing for children and swimmers of all ages.
During the Summer, Christmas and Easter Holidays, Umdloti's Beaches are full of holiday makers, friends and families enjoying the sun, surf and sand - but what makes Umdloti stand out is it's beautiful large natural tidal pool which allows for safe bathing for young kids, fun water games, clear waters and perfect snorkeling conditions for everyone! A Life guard tower is located next to Umdloti's Natural Tidal Pool with life guards on duty to keep an extra eye out. Whether it's low or high tide, the reef surrounding Umdlot's Tidal Pool still shelters the stronger incoming ocean currents on the outer edge of Umdloti's reef.
Take a small break and grab a bite or thirst quenching drink at one of the beautiful street side beach restaurants and bars just opposite Umdloti's amazing tidal pool
